Sibrandabuorren (Dutch: Sibrandaburen), a village in Boarnsterhim municipality, Fryslân, it used to be in the former municipality of Rauwerderhem, part of the region of Lege Geaën (see Poppenwier). There is a church <in fact the presence of a church was considered a vital element which defined village vs. a hamlet; if a church had been demolished by angry Hollanders or by fire all villagers made great efforts to restore it - that's what my dad told me anyway - another vtal element was the "terp", the original mound on which the temple, later the Roman Catholic church, later the Hervormde church, and perhaps in the near future the village mosque was/is built> and there was a dairy factory for the whole of the municipality of Rauwerderhem.
Sibrandabuorren: CoA: in red a silver fess, charged with three green cloverleaves.
There was no indication for a CoA so the clover was selected as Frisian symbol for agricultural work <specifically: grasslands - symbol of fertility>
Flag: two vertical stripes of white and red, proportioned 2:1; in the white stripe a green cloverleaf.
