The arrangament quoted in the appendix of the Constitution
seems some times not to be an warranty for knowing the correct
flag. According the appendix of the constitution the bottom
stripe must be black.

While checking angelfire -
choco site, I found out that the replaced the image (see Reported WRONG Flags) and the
bottom stripe is now a blue one. Also, they use darker green for
the upper stripe.

Above we have discussion concern the bottom stripe of the flag
(maroon,gray or blue). According to <www.lavozdelaselva.galeon.com>
it is blue: "La bandera del Departamento del Chocó se
compone de los colores:
VERDE: Ocupa las 2/4 partes de la bandera. Significa riqueza de
los bosques y la selva.
AMARILLO: Ocupa 1/4 de la bandera. Representa la riqueza en oro
de su tierras.
AZUL: Ocupa 1/4 de la bandera. Significa la abundancia de los
recursos hidrológicos y los dos mares que bañan el
Departamento".

As reported by Jairo Alonso Méndez Méndez, the flag
of Chocó, shown during the XVII Juegos Deportivos Nacionales
(17th National Sport Games), recently held out in Bogotá, was
the 2:1:1 V-Y-B tricolor.

There are contadicting sources concering the bottom stripe of
this flag. Here is what is said at this angelfire -
choco site:
"La bandera del Departamento del Chocó se compone de los
colores: VERDE (2/4), AMARILLO (1/4), GRIS (1/4)" .
"Gris" is grey but the image shows the bottom stripe as
silver.
