9.24.010 Definitions – Adoptions.
(1) Use of Words and Phrases. As used in this chapter, unless the context or subject matter clearly requires otherwise, the words or phrases defined in this section shall have the indicated meanings.
(2) “Official city flag” means the design, attached as Exhibit “A” to this title and incorporated by reference, that is adopted as the official city flag for the city.
(3) “Official municipal seal” means the decorative ornamental design, attached as Exhibit “B” to this title and incorporated by reference, that is adopted as the official municipal seal for the city. [Ord. 1036 § 19, 1993.]
9.24.020 Unlawful use. It is unlawful for a person to copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, or use in any manner the official municipal symbols adopted by this chapter without the express written consent of the city manager or the city manager’s designee. [Ord. 1036 § 20, 1993.]
9.24.030 Violation – Penalty. A violation of or failure to comply with this section is a misdemeanor. [Ord. 1036 § 21, 1993.]
9.24.040 Civil actions authorized. Upon approval of the city council, the city attorney is authorized to bring a civil action in superior court for injunctive relief, damages, costs, attorney’s fees, and other remedies as the court deems appropriate for a violation of or failure to comply with this chapter. [Ord. 1036 § 22, 1993.]
