Vouzela municipality had 11 917 inhabitants in 2000 (12 320 in
1990), and it is divided in 12 communes, covering 189 km2.
It belongs to the District of Viseu, to the
traditional province of Beira Alta, and to the
would be region of Beira Litoral. Trivia: this is
the last portuguese municipality, sorted by alphabetic order.
