Number of inhabitants (1 Jan 2003): 14.094; area: 60,73 km². Settlements:
Haaren (seat), Biezenmortel, Esch, Helvoirt.
Haaren is a merger between the former municipalities of Esch,
Haaren and Helvoirt on 1
Jan 1996. On 1 Jan 1997 the village of Biezenmortel was added (formerly
in Udenhout).
The flag consists of the two main colors of the CoA, and contains the
tree of it. Towards the hoist are four mill-irons pointing at the four
main settlements of the municipality.
