The Region Midi-Pyrénées uses the banner of the Counts of Toulouse, which is also used as the banner of the traditional province of Languedoc and the modern municipal flag of Toulouse.
The flag features the cross of Toulouse on a red background.

Former flag of the Regional Council

The first flag of the Regional Council was a European Union-like flag: blue with eight stars (representing the eight departments in the region) and a little red cross of Toulouse in upper canton. That flag was in use during the 1986-1992 mandate of the Regional Council.
