Description of the flag of Léon

The flag of Léon is a banner of the traditional arms of the province: a black lion without claws, tongue and teeth on a orange field. The canting arms of Léon date from 1276. Leon means lion in Breton.

The flag was designed by Yoran Delacour in 1996 and approved by the Breton Vexillological Society.
