>Significance of the flag: The flag was designed by member Divi Kervella. Its field is white, charged with a thin black saltire. The triangle with the pole is of ermine. The symbolism of the flag is explained by Divi Kervella in the following way: "the flag is based on the letter " V" (Victor) of the international code of the signals (white flag charged with a red saltire). "V" as in "vexillology" thus, the drawing represents: vexillology in black and white = Breton vexillology.

The saltire can be seen also like two letters " V " joined at their bases, that is to say initial VEKSILLOLOGIEZH VREIZH (Breton vexillology). Separately the ermines and the colors, the drawing is is not current in Breton vexillology - to avoid any confusion and to be memorable while being known with the Breton ones (Scotland, Jersey...). The cross in saltire is however a discrete allusion to the Cross - black right-hand side, and is a hint of the U.R.B. (of hermine to the green saltire), the first to have thought of modernizing the Breton vexillology. "

This flag was chosen by our members, during the meeting of the K.V.V./S.B.V. in Quimper on November 10, 1996, among the 27 proposals submitted at the time of the contest for the flag of the company (see Ar Banniel No. 1). All these proposals are shown in Ar Banniel No. 2
