Overview

I have just received from the Government of Cundinamarca a book that deals with on the shields and flags of this department. This book is called "Shields, Flags and Hymns of Cundinamarca", written by Rosalba Salazar Gallo for the Secretariat of Culture of Cundinamarca. Here is the flag of Madrid (Sabana Occidente Province).
Jairo Alonso Méndez Méndez, 8 March 2004

From <www.cundinamarca.gov.co>:

WRONG Flag in Use

by Jairo Alonso Méndez Méndez, 30 November 2004

In two different sites in the Bogotá Highplain, more exactly in Facatativá and the Bogotá River Toll, appears a flag of Madrid, as a triband, but with the stripes with equal measures. This design is wrong, and the correct one, as confirmed with many sources, is on top.
