Description of the flag

Nieuwerkerken is located in the arrondissement of Hasselt.

The flag is: Party per chevron in pale, I Gules the top of a crosier Or, II barry of ten, Or and Gules. Proportions are 2:3.

The flag was adopted on 1 July 1985.
