Description of the flag

Maasmechelen is located in the arrondissement of Tongeren. The municipal capital is Mechelen-aan-de-Maas.

The flag is: Party per pale, I party per fess, Ia Or, the top a crosier Gules, Ib Gules a five-pointed star Argent, II Or, halved an eagle Sable, tongued and armed Gules. Proportions are 2:3.

The flag was adopted on 9 May 1989.
