Description of the flag

Meeuwen-Gruitrode is located in the arrondissement of Maaseik.

The flag is: Party per fess Or and Gules in ten pieces, bend Azure, in the upper corner of the fly a letter "M" Argent, in the lower corner of the hoist a letter "G" Argent. Proportions are 2:3. The heigth of the letters is a bit less than three pieces.

The flag was adopted on 20 July 1989.
