Description of the flag

Herne (6,000 inhabitants) is located in the arrondissement of Halle-Vilvoorde.

The flag is: Party per pale, I gyronny of ten, Argent and Sable, the gyrons Sable semy with three crossed crosses Or, II Gules, a sitting man Or, accompanied by a moon Or and a seven-pointed star Or. Proportions are 2:3.

The flag was adopted on 13 December 1988.
