| Description of arms (German): | Ein ovaler, geteilter Schild. In der oberen Hälfte dieses Schildes steht vor einem schwarzen mit kleinen goldenen Punkten (= Sternen) bestreuten Hintergrund auf weißem Boden eine Kirche mit naturfarbenen Mauern. Das Hauptschiff der Kirche zeigt drei Rundbogenfenster, weißes Dach und zwei Dachfenster. Der rechts an das Hauptschiff anschließende Turm trägt eine barocke, teils weiße, teils dunkelrote Kuppel mit Zwiebelform, darunter eine Turmuhr, ein Rundbogenfenster und zu unterst ein kleines viereckiges Fenster. An den Turm ist rechts eine kleine Vorhalle mit weißem Dach angebaut. Der untere Teil des Wappens zeigt vor blauem Hintergrund auf einem Fluß von natürlichen Farben ein rot-weiß gestreiftes Salzschiff, das sowohl vor als hinter der mit einer grauen Plache überdeckten Salzladung mit je fünf Ruderern besetzt ist, die durch ihre Tracht und ihre hohen schwarzen Hüte als "Schöffleute" charakterisiert sind. | Blazoning of arms (English): | Per fess: in chief Sable semy of small mullets Or, on a base Argent a church proper; the nave roofed Argent, with three round arch windows and two roof windows; to the dexter of the nave a staple with from top an onion-shaped dome partly Argent, partly Gules, a church-clock, a round arch window and a small rectangular window; to the dexter of the staple a small entrance-hall roofed Argent. In base Azure, on a river proper a salt boat bendy sinister of Argent and Gules, the salt freight covered with a tarpaulin ash, before and behind of the freight five oarsmen each, characterized as salt boatmen by their costume and their high hats Sable. |
