Overview

My research indicated that, since independence in 1812, there has been 14 flag design changes in Colombia and its preceding federal states.  This includes the restoration of the Spanish ensign from December 1815 to August 1819.  This is equal to that of Venezuela, though control of the capital changed between the Spanish and independence forces on several occasions, technically increasing the number of flag changes.

Until now, in Venezuela and Spain does not seem exist any specialized registry that guarantees its existence.
