La Victoria is a town in Aragua State. I visited Aragua last
month, and went to La Victoria only to realise that the red used
on the flag is much lighter than officially described

La Victoria city flag is blue-crimsom/red-blue with the Coat
of Arms on the center, the blue stripes about a third of the
central one's height. I have a book (from the La Victoria
municipal government) with the details on both flag and Coat of
Arms,
On March, visiting La Victoria I noticed that all the city flags
had a lighter shade of red than the one depicted on the official
regulations.

According to a booklet by G. Fleitas, historian of the small
city of La Victoria, Aragua State, Venezuela, (FLEITAS N., German
(1997): Simbolos de la Victoria. Editions of the Aragua State
Government, Maracay), La Victoria's flag has some odd dimensions:
it's 4:3, 3 horizontal stripes (navy-crimsom-navy), the middle
one twice as high as the upper and lower ones. Centered, the
city's CoA. It was adopted on february 12th, 1988, as the
Estandarte Oficial de la Ciudad de La Victoria.

I would like to add that the city of La Victoria , second in
importance and former capital of Aragua State,
don't owe its name to these battles, that there were two during
the war of Independence, one in 1879 and another, the last one,
in 1902, but to its Lady patron: Nuestra Sen~ora de Guadalupe de
La Victoria.
