Description of the flag

This one is the flag of Fluvanna County, Virginia. Fluvanna is a rural county southeast of the city of Charlottesville in central Virginia. I've seen the flag on the local news before, but knew little about the design until I received an email about it from a member of the Fluvanna County Chamber of Commerce. Here is what he wrote:

"The county seal is the centerpiece of the county flag. A diagonal blue band represents the Rivanna River and the blue band along the bottom symbolizes the James River--these two rivers meet in Fluvanna County. The official seal of Fluvanna County included on the flag incorporates the Revolutionary War Arsenal at Point of Fork (a notable historic landmark in Fluvanna), and a branch of persimmons at the top of the interior crest. Persimmons were once an integral part of Fluvanna pride. Persimmon trees grew wild and were easily spotted throughout the county. 1777 indicates the year which Fluvanna County was formed from Albemarle County during the American Revolution."
