Description

From http://www.cdds.com/logo.htm (no longer available):
For Aurora's Centennial, the Aurora Centennial Committee wanted a logo that represented what the city was and is all about. Michael Lehman of Wilsonville took elements from logo contest entries submitted to the committee and fused them into one. Each quarter of the logo represents a part of Aurora. The tree represents the abundant fruit trees and orchards from the colony days; the Ox Barn Aurora's heritage and the effort to preserve it; the couple the Amish-style dress and communal lifestyle of the colony and the community atmosphere that exists today; and the baritone horn instrument the colony's emphasis on music. The logo is on Aurora's first-ever city flag. It will be used on all centennial related merchandise and will be on a cancellation stamp used by the Aurora Post Office.
