The original Madison County flag is framed and hanging in the Madison County Historical Society Museum. The flag design includes five red stripes, four white stripes and a blue circle with 14 stars, representing each of the county's townships. In the middle is an outline of the county with a red dot representing London, the county seat. It was made by a lady named Mabel Johnson.
