"It was confirmed at October, 31t, 2003 by the region council decision N326. In a square panel the basis to a staff is a yellow triangle with a crimson paty cross in the center. Another part of the panel is divided into two equal horizontal parts: crimson top and green bottom."

"It was confirmed at October, 31t, 2003 by the region council decision N326. A shield is tierced in pall. The upper part is or with crimson paty cross. The dexter side is vert and the sinister side is crimson. In both fields are symbols of a cossack victory: the or crossed sabres twisted with or oak and laurel branches which emphasize glory and heroism in struggle for will and independence."

The City

"For the first time it was mentioned as a Cossacks settlement Ussivka. In 1784 the settlement got the status of a chief town of a district and the name of Olexandrijsk. Later the name was changed into Olexandrija."
