From the site of Ukrainian Heraldry:
"It was confirmed at January, 31st, 2003 by the decision of region council session. A rectangular panel with a parity of the parties 2:3 consists of two equal horizontal red and yellow strips; the green wedge departs from a staff on third of length, on it is yellow bee.
The region is located on both coasts of small river Synyha (inflow of Southern Bug) in the western part of oblast'. ("Znak" N32, 2004)."

"It was confirmed at January, 31st, 2003 by the decision of region council session. Or; azure point with or bee with the argent wings, accompanied in the dexter by the azure periwinkle flower with veret stalk and leaves, in the sinister by the gules rose with vert stalk and leaves. The board is framed by a decorative wreath from oak foliage and topped by the stylized crown from wheat ears on which is paty cross. On the azure motto strip is or inscription "Belief and good". The author is V.Kryvenko.
Symbols and colors emphasize national features of area in which the majority make Ukrainian and Bulgarians. They have kept the national traditions, the cultural inheritance and language. The rose is informal emblem of Bulgaria, a symbol of beauty and perfection, enthusiasm, spiritual love. The periwinkle is the most widespread plant in Ukraine. It is a symbol of eternity and life, memories and light memoirs, happiness in wedding, the consent. Two flowers symbolize a unification of representatives of two peoples which live two centuries in the neighborhood. The image of a bee embodies diligence and selflessness, a winged sentiments and creative abilities, courage and bravery, wisdom and thrift. Colours of the Ukrainian flag are blue and yellow, and Bulgarian - white, green and red. The stylized ear of wheat in cartouche is a symbol of agricultural edge, well-being and confidence. The oak symbolizes power, force and glory, power and endurance. An alder (vil'ha) means the tree, which name is connected to the name of region. Grapes symbolizes fertility, cheerfulness, a spiritual life and revival. It reminds of historical communications of a part of the population of area with Bulgaria. A cossack cross means the historical lands of Zaporizhzhya Cossacks."
