From the site of Ukrainian Heraldry :
"It was confirmed at July, 17th, 2001 by region council decision N3/16-1. There is rectangular panel with ratio 2:3. It has three horizontal strips - blue, green and black as symbols sky and water, plenty and coal. On the green strip border are two horizontal yellow ears."

"It was confirmed at July, 17th, 2001 by region council decision N3/16-1. The shield is barry of three on azure, vert and sable. Between first and second fields is or sircle-sun with eight bows as ears. In the center of third field is argent salt symbol. The author is O.Nedorizova."
