From Ukrainian Heraldry:
"It was confirmed in May, 24th, 2001 by the decision of XIV village council session of XXIII convocation. The square panel, on the blue background is white carp, above which is yellow crown; on the perimeter is border (in width of 1/10 of gonfalon) from white and yellow squares."

Carp and Korop? Are these canting arms? Judging from both meanings listed at <uk.wikipedia.org>, it would seem so ("риба" means fish).

"It was confirmed in May, 24th, 2001 by the decision of XIV village council session of XXIII convocation. Azure; argent carp, above it is or crown. The shield enframed by or cartouche and crowned by argent urban crown with three prongs.
It was restored arms of XVII century. Carp is nominal sign which specifies the name of city.

The City

"It is known from the middle of the 12th century as a town of Novhorod-Siversky principality.
Since 1659 it was a squadron town of Nizhyn regiment.
In 1654 it was given the Magdeburg Right and an emblem with a picture of a fish."
