Founded in Salonica (Thessaloniki), now, of course, part of Greece, to carry passengers and freight between local and foreign ports. If the ship in the vignette is typical of its fleet, the services were probably mostly around the Aegean Sea ports.

On the share issued on 9 June 1911, the house flag, a pennant really, is difficult to see, being part of the share's background. It is a red pennant with the Arabic script Ittihad Turki (Turkish Union).
