- Nimnica, Púchov okres, Trencin region - adopted 23 Apr 1998 based on
a seal from 1841.
The community Nimnica is situated in the valley of the river Váh at
the foothills of the Strážovská Highlands. Her roots reach back to ancient
times, but Nimnica became known only in 1952 with the building of the water
reservoir Priehrada Mládeže, when rich mineral springs were discovered.
In 1959 the doors of the youngest spa in former Czechoslovakia opened.
