Talbot-Booth depiction

Talbot-Booth 1942 and 1994 shows a green
flag with what resembles a yellow fan like shell and in the field corners the
respective yellow letters "ABBT". The connection with this flag is a
mystery to me and by 1949 Talbot-Booth is showing the version noted by
FOTW. After World War 2 most of their shipping was in the name of Salénrederierna
A/B with Salén appearing to later have adopted the name of Salénrederierna
which became Saléninvest A/B in 1981. In the mid 1980s they filed for
bankruptcy and despite a reorganization it appears this was their fate.

Ship T/T ESSO Stockholm - Flag: red over
white burgee; in the center the company logo.
Jarig Bakker, 16 August 2005
An unusual flag and I cannot work out where it comes
from. In almost all cases the Esso group companies used the same flag
of white with "Esso" in red within a blue oval ring. Although it is
associated by implication by the kommandbryggan website with the
vessel "Esso Stockholm", together with a similar funnel colouring, the
photo shows the normal Esso group funnel as do all other photos I have
found both for her and the "Esso Gothenburg" which were the only ships
that were placed under this company up until 1971 when they were
transferred to Dansk Esso. No flags can be made out in these photos.
Another point of concern is that the ring is shown as black instead of
the normal blue but that may be a scanning effect from wherever the
original image came from. The only other reference to a flag for this
company that I have found comes from Collectors Corner website where
the normal flag is shown as the cap badge.

Gyronny dark yellow and blue; in center white
diamond, charged with black "SHL". This was the line of Jarl Malmros.

Formed post World War 1 with Frans Mamros, father of
Jarl, being involved. A sister company of Trelleborgs Ångfartygs A/B
from whence the flag is derived.
