Overview

Aguas Buenas - Its flag was designed by Francisco Díaz Rivera. Rectangular in form. There is a blue triangle with the base at the hoist with a solitary white star, like the national banner. Then two additional triangles appear in yellow and green colors. These colors convey the agriculture and tropical flora, and the commercial and industrial development of Aguas Buenas. The blue triangle represents the Puerto Rican nationality. When all these colors and triangles are united, they convey and manifest friendship, hospitality, cooperation, faith, and work of the children of this country; virtues and qualities that distinguish and honor us all.

Coat of Arms

by Nelson Román, 16 June 2004

From <www.ngw.nl>: "The arms are divided by the cross of Christianity, and show in the first quarter the image of Our Lady of Mount Serrat, in the second a Taíno indian, symbolising the original population and the local caves, in the third a symbol for the rich agriculture and in the fourth symbols for music and local folklore. The round escutcheon shows the local spring that gave the town its name."
