Gostyō county flag

[Gostyn county flag] by Chrystian Kretowicz, 3 Dec 2002

GOSTYŌ County - WIELKOPOLSKIE Voivodship
Old German name: ...Gostyn
From written description at this webpage:
"...according to the Decision of the County Council the flag of the Gostyn County is a tricolor, from top - gold; middle - light blue; bottom - red. Contrary to that, the media reports describe the top-color as yellow..."
The Polish name has a little slash over "n", which makes it sound like a Spanish "n" with the little friendly wave on top of it.

Bigger image on this webpage.    Description:
The shield is divided in the form of a turned "T". The dexter field shows a golden dome on bright blue. The sinister field has the Wielkopolskie eagle on red. The bottom field has on white three red towers; the middle one is slightly bigger and the ones on the sides have both a bright blue roof.
The golden dome shows the basilica on the holy mountain, devoted to the immaculate conception of the Virgin Mary.
The red background with the Wielkopolskie eagle is an historic CoA.
The three red towers symbolise the CoA of the city of Gostyn.
The colors and flag of the county is Yellow - Blue - Red, but the form is still unknown.
