Each of these [Super12, now Super14] sides has an official flag which is a fairly horrible pattern formed from the team colours with the team's logo superimposed on it.

The Hurricanes (based in Wellington) have a yellow flag with a rough thick blue spiral (a bit like satellite pictures of hurricane clouds).

No, anticlockwise, even though the big storms we have down here are cyclonic (clockwise). I found a picture of one variety of the flag ("this year's model") here.
