Hillegersberg is a "stadsdeel" in north Rotterdam, along the lake-area known as the "Bergsche Plassen".
Hillegersberg is a former municipality in Zuid-Holland province, since 1941 part of Rotterdam.

It has its own "stadsdeel"-flag: yellow, in the center the former municipal arms of 4/5 flagheight, in which the main element (the giantess Hillegonda) is contoured yellow.

According to "Wie, Wat, Waar? 1940", an annual published by the Rotterdamsch Nieuwsblad in Nov. 1939, the flag of Hillegersberg was: horizontal gold over blue.

Hillegersberg CoA

[Hillegersberg CoA] by Jarig Bakker, 21 Jul 2004, after Derkwillem Visser's "Gemeentevlaggen en wapens Koninkrijk der Nederlanden, 2001".

This is the giantess Hildegonda; in her apron she carried sand. On the site of Hillegersberg her apron tore, and sand out of it formed the mountain, on which the present settlement of Hillegersberg was built around the Hillegonda church. There was a castle here, Slot Hillegersberg, demolished by Jacoba van Beieren in 1426, of which a few remains still exist.
