Number of inhabitants (1 Jan 2003): 14.910; area: 31,45 km². Settlements: Lekkerkerk (seat), Krimpen aan de Lek.
On 1 Jan 1985 Nederlek was formed by the merger of the former municipalities of Lekkerkerk and Krimpen aan de Lek.
