This flag was approved by the municipal council on 30 July 1962. The
colors are derived from the municipal CoA, which contains St. Peter. The
key on the flag refers to him. The diagonal line symbolizes the airbase
of Gilze-Rijen, where regularly planes fly into the sky. The two fields
symbolize the duality of the municipality.
