Population (1 Jan 2003): 18.400; area: 84,36 km². Settlements: Eersel
(seat), Duizel, Knegsel, Steensel, Vessem, Wintelre.
The municipality of Eersel is a merger of the former municipalities
of Eersel and Vessem,
Wintelre en Knegsel on 1 Jan 1997, and uses the same flag as the old
municipality of Eersel.
The flag corresponds to the escutcheon on the municipal arms, with
the lion shifted to the hoist.

Vessem, Wintelre en Knegsel [former municipality]

In 1935 (750 years of existence of Den Bosch) all municipalities of
Noord-Brabant received a banner consisting of the red-white blocks of the
provincial flag, with in the canton the municipal arms. The person on the
canton is St. Lambertus, patron saint of the church of Vessem.
