Augsbuurt village (Lytsewâld)

The old name was Augsbuur (Frisian: Augsbūr) or Lutkewoude (Frisian: Lytsewāld). In the 1990s the name was changed to Augsbuurt (Frisian: Lytsewāld) Three horizontal stripes yellow - red - green, with 5 pinnacles on red stripe.
Colors: princes-yellow, clear-red, and clear-green.
The pinnacles refer to a "stins" (castle) of the family De Clant in the 16th century; later the families of Roorda, Van Scheltema, and Van Aylva lived there.
Source: information from Kollumerland municipality.
