The "Limpopo Company" name refers to the Limpopo River (1,600
km). The Limpopo is the border of south-western Botswana and
South Africa,
then forms the border between southern Zimbabwe and South Africa, and eventually enters Mozambique
before it flows into the Indian Ocean near the town of João Belo. After
the independence of Mozambique from Portugal, the name of its capital city was changed from Lourenço Marques to
Maputo.

Empreza isn't correct in contemporary Portuguese, but it might
have been correct at the time - today, the same word is spelled "empresa".
