Description

According to Nehmé 1995, "Tannoukhian Flag: Consisted of 5 colors divided vertically in equal bands of white, blue, yellow, red and green."

Santiago Dotor, 26 September 2000

Usually spelt Tanukh, Tanookh, Tanuq or Tanooq (also Thanouite) — a pre-Islamic Arab tribe from the 2nd-4th centuries AD which migrated from Yemen to Iraq and Syria and converted to Christianity. Further information in this webpage and this webpage.

This Tanukh flag has a distinct Druze look — however the Druze dinasties' flags (Maanid and Chehab) do not. Weird.

(...) I wonder how old are some of the flags in this list supposed to be —Tanukh flag, Phoenician flag— and how reliable their existence is!
