stylized hiragana I い of Isezaki in shape of comma-shaped bead used as
an accessory in ancient Japan which represents harmony and development.
Nozomi Kariyasu, 19 November 2005
The emblem and flag are described in notice number 66. The
stylised hiragana i い forms an outline of the well known "yin-yang"
(in Japanese "inyou") symbol, expressing harmony of the citizens and the
city's development.
