Description

Sakhnin is situated in the Lower Galilee, south to Carmiel. Pop. 21,000 inh, mostly Muslims. The unofficial flag is white with black emblem and no inscription. The municipal emblem was published in the official gazette (Rashumot), 'Publications Gazette' section (Yalkut ha'Pirsumim), YP 4887, 31 May 2000, after becoming a municipality, replacing a previous emblem published YP 1450, 16 May 1968.
