Regional Council Nahal Sorek is situated in the south plain, east to Gadera. City hall at Yad-Benyamin. Est. 1950. Pop: 2,500 in four settlements of the Zionist-Religious movements. (...) The municipal emblem was published in the official gazette (Rashumot, Yalkut ha-Pirsumim), YP 633, 13 November 1958. Mrs. Nirit Kena, RC spokeswomen, notified me that the RC uses only white flags with blue emblem. When the emblem is used alone (not on flags) the diagonal scroll in the middle of it is in silver. Sources: council website; fax and phone call from Mrs. Nirit Kena, regional council spokeswoman.
