Regional Council Menashe (named after the biblical tribe) is situated around Eiron road (road 65), NE to E of Hadera. Est. 1950. Pop. 12,000 in 19 settlements. In my visit I spotted a green flag with black emblem. However the Regional Council sent me a blue desk flag with yellow emblem. The municipal emblem was published in the official gazette (Rashumot), 'Publications Gazette' section (Yalkut ha'Pirsumim), YP 1039, p. 28, 2 October 1963. Sources: author's own observation, 2 October 2001; letter from Mrs. Gita Timor, Mayor's Bureau Chief, 10 October 2001; desk flag;.
