Description

Regional Council Gan Rave (meaning "watered garden") is situated on the sea shore, south of Rishon le'Zion, east of Rehovot and Nes Ziona and north of Yavne. Est. 1952, 5,000 inh. Its name is taken from the bible (Isaiah 58,11 and Jeremiah 31,12). The desk flag is white with blue emblem, but there could be changes when it is used as a hoisted flag. The municipal emblem was published in the official gazette (Rashumot), 'Publications Gazette' section (Yalkut ha'Pirsumim), YP 942, 12 July 1962. Isaiah 58,11:

Jeremiah 31,12:

Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow together to the goodness of the Lord, for wheat, and for wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all.
