Regional Council Gilboa is situated between Afula and Bet-She'an, on the northern feet of Mount Gilboa. Est. 1949. Pop. 21,000 in 31 settlements (first settlement in 1921). The unofficial municipal flag is light blue with black emblem and no inscription. The municipal emblem was published in the official gazette (Rashumot), 'Publications Gazette' section (Yalkut ha'Pirsumim), YP 631, 30 October 1958. Sources: author's own observation, 2 October 2001.
