Local Council Yavne'el (Yabnel, from Joshua 19:33) is situated in a small valley on the sloops of Naphtali Mounts, about 10 KMS SW to Tiberias on Afula-Kinneret road. Est. 1901 as Yama. Pop: 2,200. The Local Council also includes the settlements of Smadar (est. 1956), Bet-Gan (est. 1903) and Mishmar ha'Shlosha (est. 1937). In my visit I spotted two emblems, a municipal one and a 100th anniversary one. Flags showing the municipal emblem were:
