Local Council Neve Ephrayim (Monoson), is situated in the east side of Gush Dan, east to Tel-Aviv. It was established in 1955 and got 3,000 inh. I spotted a flag on the city hall, greyish light blue background with emblem surrounded with blue and white rectangles. Inscription in Hebrew (above the emblem) and English (below) inside the inner rectangle. The flag is the same on both sides. The municipal emblem was published in the official gazette (Rashumot, Yalkut ha-Pirsumim), YP 1795, 13 January 1972. Source: author's own observation, 19 September 2001; local council website.

This community was established by Mr. Monoson's company and was known first as Neve Monoson, later to be changed to "Neve Ephrayim (Monoson)". This local council was abolished on August 5, 2003 and is now part of the Municipality of Yahud. Its local council was demoted to Local Committee, so I expect that the former Local Council flag will be in future use as the Local Committee flag.
