Emblem adopted 4th November 1982
Local Council Majd el-Kurum (meaning glory of the vineyards in Arabic) is situated in Biq'at Bet ha'Kerem (Vinyard House Valley) on Akko-Zefat road (road 85), 3 km NW to Karmiel and 17 km east to Akko. A Local Council since 1964 with 10,000 inh., most of them Muslims. In my visit I spotted a white flag with yellow emblem; the reverse is plain white. The municipal emblem was published in the official gazette (Rashumot), 'Publications Gazette' section (Yalkut ha'Pirsumim), YP 2863, 4 November 1982.
