Local Council Kfar Shmariahu (meaning Shmariahu's village, after Shmariahu Levin, a Zionist leader) is situated just north of Herzliya, on Highway 2 (Tel-Aviv-Haifa). Est. 1937, pop. 2,000.
The municipal emblem has not published in the official gazette (Rashumot, Yalkut ha-Pirsumim) and there were no flags on the city hall when I visited it. I was informed that in case of need they use a blue emblem on white, but this flag is as yet only probable.
