Local Council Kfar (Kafer) Kara'a (in Arabic Pumpkin Village) is situated on the Hadera-Afula road (road 65), 17 km east of Hadera. Founded in the 18th century, a Local Council from 1958. Pop. 11,800 almost all Muslims. The municipal emblem has not been published in the official gazette (Rashumot) and is thus unofficial. Publication process was initiated in 1996 but never completed. The Local Council uses this proposal as municipal emblem. The flag has been reported as white with emblem in unknown colours; the flag is thus probable pending confirmation.
