Local Council Kaukab Abu el-Hija (meaning Abu el-Hija's star in Arab) is situated in the Lower Galilee on Mount Atzmon, and is a Muslim village of the Abu el-Hija family. In my visit there were no flags on the brand new city hall. Flag was reported as white with emblem (colour not specified; I drew it black but it is probably blue or green). This information needs further confirmation so the flag is only probable. The municipal emblem was published in the official gazette (Rashumot), 'Publications Gazette' section (Yalkut ha'Pirsumim), YP 3990, 2 September 1992.
