Description

Local Council Hazor (or Khatzor) ha'Gllilit is situated in the Upper Galilee, just north of Rosh-Pina, was founded in 1954 and has 10,000 inh. It is named after the Biblical city of Hazor whose remains are located 3 km north of the Local Council.

During my visit I spotted the unofficial municipal flag as green with black emblem and no inscription. The municipal emblem was published in the official gazette (Rashumot, Yalkut ha-Pirsumim), YP 1770, 20 October 1971. Source: author's own observation, 18 September 2001.
