Local Council Dir Hanna is situated in Sahnin Valley in the Lower Galilee, east to Arabe and about 10 km NW to Golani cross. Local Council from 1975 with 7,000 inh., mostly Muslims. In my visit I spotted a white flag with blue emblem and inscriptions in both languages, flying over the brand new city hall. The municipal emblem was published in the official gazette (Rashumot), 'Publications Gazette' section (Yalkut ha'Pirsumim), YP 3748, 4 March 1990. Source: author's own observation, 11 October 2001.
